Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter and U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar on Thursday visited Carver Brewing Co. to pump up the local Democrats.Neither Ritter nor Salazar is up for re-election this year, but they took time to stump for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to a crowd of about 50 on the restaurant's patio. After the Carver stop, both headed for a ceremony commemorating the Animas-La Plata Project's near completion.
"The time has come for the people of this country to take America back," Salazar said. "Barack Obama is going to do that."
